Brigade Information

All members and Office Bearers are Volunteers.

Bulk Water Rural Fire Brigade is one of 18 Brigades within the Gosford City area. Funding for these Brigades is through the NSW State Government and the Gosford City Council with the day to day activities being administered through the Rural Fire Service (RFS) District Office at Kariong, which is manned by professional staff headed by the Fire Control Officer.

In addition to "callouts" in relation to bushfires, Bulk Water members are also called on to attend car fires and accidents, structure fires, storm and flood damage, out of area committments,as well as many other incidents in support of other RFS Brigades.

All members have undergone extensive training to various levels in order to prepare them for fire protection activities.

Members also provide assistance to residents with advise on property protection from bushfire hazards, and can assist in the conduct of hazard reduction activities.

Donations to the Brigade and fund raising activities by the Brigade are used to provide and support additional specific equipment for the Brigade.
